PSV is extending the contract of winger Fredrik Oppegård. The 19-year-old left-back from Young PSV commits himself to the club until mid-2025.
Joining PSV since 2019
Oppegård signed his contract with PSV last week (digitally). The winger from Norway, born in capital Oslo, has been playing in PSV's youth academy since the summer of 2020. After his first season with PSV O19 - the current PSV O18 - Oppegård moved on to Young PSV. There he is a fixture.
PSV 1
Oppegård was scouted by PSV while still playing as a winger. In the PSV Academy he was quickly turned into a defender. He did that so well that he played several times in PSV 1. Especially in practice matches. Last season Oppegård made his official debut in the first team during an Eredivisie game with RKC Waalwijk. This year he played ten minutes in the Johan Cruijff Schaal match against Ajax, which was won 4-0, and started seven times as a PSV youngster in a league match in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
