Shortly after Sturm Graz, PSV is already getting ready for its next match against sc Heerenveen next Sunday. The team is in good form. "Heerenveen is always a difficult match, but we have a lot of self-confidence. We come to win," said Head Coach Roger Schmidt during the preview.

Self-confidence
Schmidt looks back positively on last Thursday's game. "We played a good game and we deserved to win. We had good control of the game both on and off the ball." Schmidt says his team is in a good flow. "Against Vitesse we also proved that we can do it. The match against Sturm Graz was the next good step."

Spicy duel
Schmidt goes on to say that they will also take that attitude with them to Heerenveen. "We are in good shape. We now have a short time to prepare against the team. It will be a tough game, but we have a lot of self-confidence." He says the away games against Heerenveen are never easy, but they will do everything they can to win. He looks back at last season's away game, "I have good memories of that game. We played well and created many chances, but we only scored once in the first half. In the second half, the game changed and we fell behind 2-1. We tied the game in the last minute, but the game could have gone either way. We could have won as well as lost." He says they know Heerenveen has a dangerous team. "They have good players like Joey Veerman. He is strong in the finishing and plays with a lot of long balls. We have to make sure we have answers to that."

Man of the match
Ritsu Doan was named the man of the match on Thursday. "He deserved that," Schmidt explained. "He is in good form. He is fit and has a lot of self-confidence. He has not played for national team, but now he is showing his qualities. He is focused and is comfortable in his fierce."
