After the 1-0 win over Feyenoord, spirits are good at De Herdgang. To keep it that way, head coach Phillip Cocu told us Wednesday afternoon, PSV must reach the next round of the KNVB Cup on Thursday. "Nothing more and nothing less," he said in his preview of the cup game with the Premier League side.

Making game
On the Putten artificial turf, PSV will start Thursday's hunt for their first KNVB Cup since 2012. Judging by the words from Gelderland, PSV will have to make the game in Putten. Cocu realizes that. "We have prepared as we do for every opponent. Our analyst went there twice and I myself watched one of the games on video. That doesn't give any guarantees, against us they can just play differently. Therefore, the most important thing is how we go into the match ourselves," Cocu believes.

Whether the coach will make changes to his lineup, he left in the dark. "It could be that some other guys play. In previous years I drafted Remko Pasveer as goalkeeper in cup matches. That doesn't mean Eloy Room will play tomorrow."

De Jong trains lightly
At least a foursome will not play. Luuk Koopmans and Ramon Pascal Lundqvist are currently recovering from their earlier injuries, while Hirving Lozano is suspended. In addition, PSV is missing the injured Luuk de Jong, who was injured last Sunday, but already completed his first training session. "A slight and inside of course," Cocu said. "He is doing reasonably well. I don't dare put a date on his comeback. I hope to have him back with the selection as soon as possible."
