PSV can equal an Eredivisie record Saturday in the Nijmegen Goffert against N.E.C. If it wins, it will have won 12 away games in a row. Currently, that record also belongs to PSV: It dates back to the legendary 1987-1988 period. A preview in facts and figures.

Strong away from home
Outside the Philips Stadium, PSV has been performing exceptionally well for months: The club has not been beaten in away games for almost a year. On Sept. 19, 2015, Heracles Almelo was the last club to succeed in doing so. Currently, PSV has won 11 away matches in a row. If they win, Saturday night at Peter Hyballa's N.E.C., PSV equals the record from the golden year 87-88.

Long unbeaten against N.E.C.
In the last 13 matches PSV and N.E.C. fought, PSV did not lose once. Three matches ended in a draw, the other ten times PSV won. For the Nijmegen side's last win, we have to go back to Nov. 8, 2008, when an early goal by club icon Peter Wisgerhof kept the three points in the Waalstad.

Only Ajax better
So since then, thirteen times at least one point to Eindhoven. There is only one club in the Eredivisie against which NEC is currently putting up a worse series: it has not won the last 19 duels against Ajax. Last season, PSV won 3-0 through goals by Luuk de Jong, Jürgen Locadia and Marco van Ginkel.

Ofosu's on fire
Still, PSV must watch out for the number 12 of the Eredivisie. Defender Dario Dumic, for example, is in good form. He already gave two assists and scored once. In addition, brand-new N.E.C. player Reagy Ofosu has scored in both home games this season. If the German would manage to do that again against PSV, he would equal a club record set by Dennis de Nooijer in 2002. Back then he was also a goal-scorer in the first three home games of the season.
