Daneels opens score early
Before halftime, Young PSV was extremely effective with the chances. Coach Dennis Haar's team struck at the first danger it managed to create. After 8 minutes Daneels found himself free in front of goalkeeper Janssen and the Belgian took full advantage. The attacker controlled the ball smoothly and rounded it off appropriately: 1-0. Ten minutes before halftime the cheers from the main stand at De Herdgang were even louder when the 2-0 hit the ropes. Everything had to do with the goal scorer. Romero, who seems to be getting fitter and fitter, signed for his first goal in red and white. The Argentine, a PSV player since last winter, received the ball on the edge of the box and sent Janssen the wrong way with a simple foot movement: 2-0.
Out of hands
Even before that 2-0, Young PSV got away well a couple of times. Van Osch's effort hit the post and he also had to stretch to prevent an equalizer. In the second half, the Young PSV goalkeeper had significantly less to do. At least until the last quarter of the game, when Cijntje scored the 2-1 and sparked a small Dordt offensive. That soon led to the 2-2 from Zamouri, who finished off a counterattack effectively. In the closing stages, both teams tried to take the game to either side, but lacked the strength to do so.
