Young PSV has won its first group match in the Premier League International Cup. The defending champion of the tournament defeated the U21 of Nottingham Forest FC 3-1. Last year, the promising team won the youth international tournament.

The only goal of the first half was scored by Jesper Uneken. The striker saw the score rise to a 3-0 lead in the second half thanks to goals by Mohamed Nassoh and Renzo Tytens. With one goal against, 'The Reds' could not prevent Young PSV from returning home with the full haul.

Debutants
It was an extra nice evening for Eus Waayers (17), Dantaye Gilbert (18), Joël van den Berg (16) and Jaden de Guzman (16). The foursome made their debut for the pledge team at Alfreton Town's Impact Arena.

Basic lineup
Peersman; Sambo, Dagasan, Dams, Tytens; Nassoh, Jiménez, Van de Berg; Houben, Uneken, Kwaaitaal.
