PSV is expanding the pilot with hardcups to the east stand. Since the home game with Excelsior Rotterdam, testing has already taken place on the opposite side of the Philips Stadium. Because that was successful, PSV is now rolling out the test for a sustainable alternative to plastic cups.
The pilot will continue for at least the remainder of the season. This means that the hardcups will be tested during the home games against Fortuna Sittard and SC Heerenveen. PSV is thus trying to reduce the amount of plastic waste on match days.
When you purchase a beer, you pay a one-time extra two euros for a hardcup. This cup can be refilled with your next consumption. The pilot only applies to beer, and after a game you can keep the cup for the next home game. The hardcup can also be returned to a catering point. Then you will get your two euros back.
