Immediately after the 2-0 victory over Excelsior Rotterdam, the focus shifted to Saturday night. Then AZ will visit for the second league game this week. There are six Eredivisie matches left on the schedule and Peter Bosz knows that the final leg of the league is full of surprises.

That proved to be the case on Thursday night, when Feyenoord walked off the pitch with a scoreless draw at home to bottom-placed FC Volendam. As a result, PSV's lead is now nine points. "It turns out that winning is not obvious and I've been calling that all season. I don't think many people expected this. Let us now above all just continue as we have been doing for months," the Head Coach kicked off.

Self-confidence
In recent years, AZ has not won at Philips Stadium, but Bosz does not attach any value to that. "That says nothing to me at all. We approach this match as we have done all season. Against AZ we previously played our best half-hour of this season. We have to win the match because we want to be champions. Saturday is another chance to approach that goal."

Commitment
Bosz says the final game of the Eredivisie will lead to many surprises, but he urges his selection that the battle is not yet over. "Matches at the end of a season are always different. We are in very good shape, but we are not there yet." The same goes for player fitness and efficiency. "My style of play is most intense for our outside players. It is particularly clever of Johan Bakayoko that he manages to keep it up like that in his first year as a base player."

Patch basket
Finally, the Head Coach also reported news from the sickbay. "Ismael will not be here on Saturday. He is in full recovery mode and will train with us again soon. The match against AZ will unfortunately also come too soon for Hirving Lozano. Jerdy Schouten is more fortunate, as I assume he will be there tomorrow."
