PSV won 5-1 over AZ on Saturday night. Head coach Peter Bosz states that the form from before the winter break was tapped again. In addition, the coach speaks of a boyhood dream and praises the crowd.
"I am very satisfied with the moments when we played great football," Bosz began the press conference. "We did suffer unnecessary ball loss at times, which is unfortunate. There was a phase when we lost our grip for a while, but in the end we gave them little chance. We tightened the thumbscrews from the first moment. Today I saw the PSV of the first half of the season; Great combinations and good field play."
Constant
A journalist asks how PSV is so constant. "Everything starts with good footballers, which we have. Then the staff has to give them a clear plan. You need another driving force. PSV had not been champions for five years, so that was there by nature. Then you have intensity and you have to train super hard for that. Finally, you have the mental aspect and a bit of experience. When that all comes together you can be constant."
Boy's dream & compliments to the crowd
In the 88th minute, the 19-year-old Jesper Uneken came into the lines for his debut and also managed to score. Bosz therefore speaks of a boy's book. "When I told him he was allowed in, he seemed to be hugely frightened. I gave him few instructions, he just had to play nice football. Then Sergiño made a great move and Jesper finished beautifully. It's a boy's book."
At the moment when the press conference has actually ended Bosz grabs the floor: "I want to compliment the crowd. The atmosphere was great in the stadium. It was a wonderful interaction between the supporters and the players, which was very nice to see."
