Richard Ledezma has no adjustment problems now that he is playing in a new position. That is what the American concluded after the 7-1 victory over Almere City FC. And Head Coach Peter Bosz also has nice words to say about his pupil.
Peter Bosz
What did you think of the match?
"We played well, often came through on the sides and looked for Luuk in the air. Then you know we are going to be dangerous. We just should have scored more often in the first half. Except for the first ten minutes in the second half, we were sharp the whole game. We were lucky that goal was disallowed, but we deservedly won."
What does this victory tell you?
"Not so much yet. My experience is that teams have to grow in a league. I said before the game that we grew during the year last season. We have to do that again now. That's why I'm happy with today, because we played under pressure and also played very good football after the 2-1."
What did you say after the game?
"I congratulated them, but also pointed out the goal against and that phase of the match. The disallowed goal and the counter-goal, we have to improve on that. You have to have the hunger to keep going, but they showed that again from the 3-1. Like last season, the substitutions again make the difference."
Richard Ledezma played well today as right back.
"I think so, too. He and Frederik - no, the whole rearguard played well. We just needed to keep the zero. We have seen for several games that Richy can play there just fine; he is fast, has a good pass and has the defensive insight."

Did you ever think you would play as a right back?
"I didn't expect it, but I prepared well and even talked to Jordan Teze about the position. It's an opportunity that's good for my career, so I'm grabbing it with both hands. It has always been my goal to play for PSV 1 and now I have succeeded. I want to stay here and fight for my place."
What is difficult about your new position?
"The position is not necessarily difficult, but you get the ball in a different place and that requires some adjustments. The hardest thing is that I play 90 minutes and my body still has to get used to that."
