NAC night became an evening of Saibari-Pepi. The dynamic duo, who by their own admission click inside and outside the pitch, led an easy 3-0 win. Head coach Peter Bosz then complimented the pair, but Mauro JR also received fine words.
Are you satisfied?
"I am satisfied with the victory. It's not easy to win here, but we didn't make it easy for ourselves either. Several times we suffered sloppy ball losses. We can do better."
Why did you choose Ricardo Pepi over Luuk de Jong?
"Luuk hadn't quite recovered from the previous game. Fortunately, with Ricardo we have a very good striker behind us. And in general you try to rotate. With so many games you have to."
How did you like him?
"He was very threatening, constantly looked for depth and was sharp in finishing. He played well. That's not surprising because he's a good player. Only he is unlucky that Luuk de Jong is in front of him. I do think he deserves more minutes than last season."
Rick Karsdorp was important in a number of ways, what did you think of him?
"Well, beforehand it was a question whether he could play, but he's really a guy. He's going to 'just play.' Then he also says, 'I'm there.' You know what you have with him. Since a few weeks he is fit and fills the right back position very well."
Who else did you think was good?
"Ismael of course, but Mauro JR was the best of the field for me. Very important in possession of the ball, working hard and so reliable. I thought he was the man of the match."
