PSV played a draw against Ajax on Saturday night. The game was intense and there were chances back and forth. Head coach Peter Bosz, who only had part of the selection at his disposal, could therefore live with the result.
"It was a very intense match with a fair result. It could have gone either way, so then a draw is fine," Bosz analyzed The Topper. "Normally we can bring a number of players who make the difference, but due to injuries the bench was relatively empty. That's galling, especially in a match where the intensity is so high."
The Head Coach pointed out two players he felt stood out, "Mauro JR and Ismael Saibari played fantastic. Ismael was still playing at the Africa Cup this week and Mauro was in the starting line-up for the first time this season. In addition, he didn't play in his own position. You don't just do that to them, they gave everything."
'Happy to be playing football again'
Mauro JR is happy to be back on the field after a long injury. "It was a tough time, but I always stayed positive. I was told yesterday that I was starting in the starting lineup. It was an intense match, but I'm very happy to be playing football again."
