In the 22nd round of the Eredivisie, Heracles Almelo is PSV's opponent. In the eleventh home game this season, PSV must again be fully focused at the kickoff, Peter Bosz stressed ahead of the game.
Tuesday, Feb. 20, awaits the UEFA Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund, but the Head Coach let it be known that the European match is not an item at the moment. "It is not difficult to keep the focus on tomorrow's match. Once again we are playing a very important match. We also have to win against Heracles Almelo, because we want to become champions. That's my mission and we're going full steam ahead with that."
Focus
PSV is favored against the Almelo-based promoter, but there is no question among the players of any kind of underestimation. "I don't believe we have underestimated even one game this season. It's important to be focused tomorrow. Heracles Almelo normally plays very compact. The team sinks far back and lurks on the counter. We encounter that more often, but after the winter break everyone does things differently against us."
To be victorious for the 20th time this season, the A-selection must be focused at kickoff. "They have changed systems and are now playing with five defenders. There is one striker, therefore we have to play through them first. Against FC Volendam we showed that it is not that easy, especially in the first half."
No setback
Guus Til is not there yet this weekend, but the returning players have reported to the training field without complaints after the battle in North Holland. "We came out of the match against FC Volendam well. Joey and Malik did not suffer any setbacks after the game. We were able to train nicely all week, so I don't expect any surprises from the medical staff."
