After a lightning start at the AFAS Stadion, PSV also managed to win the last Eredivisie game of this year visiting AZ. Head coach Peter Bosz and captain Luuk de Jong look back on the game against Alkmaar with satisfaction. With sixteen out of sixteen in their pocket, PSV goes into the winter break unbeaten and in the lead.

The twice-striking Luuk de Jong spoke highly of PSV's performance in Alkmaar. "The amount of power and dominance we put on the pitch was amazing. It could easily have been 5-0 or 6-0. I was enjoying myself on the pitch. We have a group of 25 men who perform their duties and show their strength at the right time. Whether it is from the starting lineup or from the bench; that's the strength of our team," said the captain who was happy with his goals, but would rather see the team run well. "It's always nice to score two goals. Still, I think it's much more important that we're doing well, winning and then I don't care who scores."

Control on the field
Peter Bosz called the first half-hour the best he has seen this season. "We scored three goals within 15 minutes and created a lot of chances. When we lost the ball, we were right on top of it to win it back; that was the first time I've seen that so well. We were so good which made AZ look even worse." PSV also kept their eleventh clean sheet in the Eredivisie today, which the coach calls a very handsome achievement.

Fantastic half of the season
Peter Bosz 's way of playing football and how the Head Coach sees the game fits well with Luuk de Jong. "I think it's fantastic to play this way. It was immediately clear when we started working with the coach and his ideas, that we really have the group to be able to execute that," said the captain, indicating that he has not experienced the way PSV is playing football now at PSV before. "I am very proud of how we are doing this as a team. If we give 100 percent as a team, I don't see many teams in the Netherlands that can win from us."
