Despite a troubled first half, PSV managed to win at visiting Fortuna Sittard. Peter Bosz spoke of a difficult afternoon, but saw his team turn the tide in the second half.
There seemed to be a lack of intensity today, did you see it that way?
"Absolutely. This is what I just talked about in my discussion. Intensity is what I try to translate to my players in terms of football. That's about how you pressure, how you sprint back, how you capture the second ball, how hard you play the balls in; I didn't see any of that in the first half."
Did that bother you during the game?
"No, because I know they can do it, so it's up to me to make sure that comes out. I have to make sure they see what is really being asked of them and do that every game."
In the second half it seemed to go better, did you think so?
"You have to play an opponent like that to pieces with a high ball pace, we did in the second half. We turned it around at halftime and that's clever. I know from experience that it is often very difficult to turn the tide once you start a game like that."
Ismael Saibari fell in well and Malik Tillman was also important with two goals. How do you view those players?
"Saibari is a real powerhouse; the intensity he brings is what we needed in the second half. He makes good runs and dribbles people out. I wanted to win this game and I needed him to do that. Malik Tillman surely is a special one. He shot that free kick in at exactly the right time."
In short, you end up taking the three points and winning six duels in a row.
"We have indeed played 6 games, 18 points and scored 3 goals again. You're almost going to think that's ordinary, but I don't think it is."
