The topper was a game with two faces. In the first half Peter Bosz saw a sloppy team. After a tactical change and a load of new energy, PSV waltzed over Ajax.
"Everyone thinks I gave a thunder speech at halftime, but that's not the case. Everyone knew it wasn't good, I don't have to tell them that. I did make two substitutions and as a result we started playing better football."
According to Bosz, PSV did not come into their strength due to their own actions. "We were sloppy and unnecessarily lost the ball. Then you don't get to play football and that is precisely what we are good at." At the same time, the Head Coach praised his team. "When you start like that it is very difficult to turn it around. Yet we managed to do that."
Different pressure
After halftime, PSV whirled over Ajax. Something that, according to the substitute Guus Til, also had to do with the way of putting pressure. "They got too much time in the back. Then it doesn't matter who you play against, they always find the solution. In the second half we put pressure from a 4-4-2 formation. That changed a lot."
Guus knows there is a lot of competition at his position right now. "We have four attacking midfielders who are all totally different. We bring a different energy. It's up to me to make sure the Head Coach chooses me."
