PSV has started the new Eredvisie season well. Head coach Peter Bosz dares to draw that conclusion after the 5-1 victory over RKC Waalwijk. Afterwards, the coach was very complimentary about two players.

"Get up there," the Head Coach began. "Wanting and needing to be champions again is tough, but we showed today that we can do it. I noticed beforehand that the group had the right mentality and on the field it was no different. They were sharp, fierce and it looked good."

Richard Ledezma was at right back today, which pleased Bosz.
"That he was good on the ball, we already knew, but whether he would stand up defensively was the question. But he did very well. He is actually a ten, of course, but he can also play at six. Because of his football intelligence, he can hold his own everywhere."

The coach also had particular praise for Malik Tillman. "When you see him today chasing down to the goalkeeper, that's great. He developed a lot last year, because he found it difficult to be consistent. That was mainly because of the physical strain of three games a week. He has made strides and is on his way to becoming a great football player."

The coach also praised the substitutes. "They were top. Pepi didn't score, but filled in wonderfully. Lozano did the same and even scored twice. That was nice to see."

PSV is thundering on after the championship, and that should come as no surprise, according to Malik Tillman. "It's a new season, everyone is hungry. Maybe more than last season. It has to be, because I think it will be harder. Everyone wants to win against the champion. We have to show on the field that we can do it again," said Malik Tillman, who according to a journalist did not seem very happy with his goal, but he refuted that. "To be honest, I was very happy because it's my first goal from outside the sixteen."
