Head coach Peter Bosz clarifies Luuk de Jong's failure at the press conference. The coach will additionally address questions about the match against Go Ahead Eagles.
Are these difficult games?
"Well you have to be able to bring it up again and in this heat. The start wasn't good, but that was because we didn't expect them to slump so much. That happens more often, that opponents do something different than you expect, especially against us. Once we got it right, we grabbed the lead."
In the first half Luuk de Jong fell out, how is that going now?
"Well I was shocked, because the fourth man said the VAR had seen it go in. It turned out he had an ice bone once in the game against Feyenoord and that was playing up again now. It's nothing serious."
Matteo Dams is perhaps the surprise of this season, correct?
"I thought he played very well again, he did an excellent job. At Young PSV you could already see he has qualities, so I already had confidence in him. He's lightning fast, is good on the ball, only sometimes he could be a bit bolder."
You go into the UEFA Champions League this month, does that feel different from last year?
"Last season almost nobody had played UEFA Champions League. Now it's different, so we know we can handle it. We just have to give away fewer chances than we did today, because then we have a problem."
Do you want another left back there?
"If someone comes he is welcome and if no one comes also good. One is coming because Mauro JR is almost coming back from injury. I am satisfied with the eleven I have."
