PSV recorded an important win in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night. The victory over RC Lens puts Head Coach Peter Bosz 's team in second place in the pool. This is partly thanks to a 'unique' header goal by Luuk.

Jordan Teze was on the field for ninety minutes on Wednesday night. He indicated that PSV was forced to deviate from the game plan. "Building up was the starting point, but they were on top of it. Luuk then immediately figured out what to do, so we started playing more long balls to him. Then it works out very well that he is used to this level."

Peter Bosz notes that the play was very different from the outward match. "In France we were able to stay on the ball longer, while here it became more of a fighting game. In addition, their wing defenders quickly stepped through on ours. As a result, we often had to opt for the long ball. Compliments to the boys, because that is not the game we are used to."

Unique goal
The Head Coach complimented several players, including Luuk and Jerdy. "Jerdy stayed so calm on the ball despite the pressure. I'm not a national coach and I don't look at all Dutch players, but as far as I'm concerned he's good enough for Orange. And then you have our captain; It is unique that Luuk promotes a relatively slow cross into a goal. I am very happy that he is playing for us."
