The development of Matteo Dams continues steadily. Against N.E.C. Nijmegen, he was even named Star of the Match. The young Belgian does not yet hope to continue playing everything, but will seize all opportunities with both hands.

An easy game today, or not?
"Well, because of N.E.C.'s quick red card, I did feel that we would maintain the upper hand. Then it's still a matter of keeping up the good play, but we did that."

Is it cruising to Juventus then?
"We try not to think so easily. We have to keep playing our game. Especially with an eye on the meeting with Juventus, we want to keep the intensity high."

You played ninety minutes today and that went very well, how does that feel? "Of course that feels very good. I'm also getting confidence from the group and the staff, so that's nice."

Do you also look at the UEFA Champions League that way, with the hope of playing?
"Of course I want to play, but not really, I look at it from day to day. If certain players become fit again I might have to settle for a place on the bench again. I have to grab the chances I get with both hands. I think that worked out pretty well today."

How do you view your own development?
"That it has gone very fast. When you train and play at a higher level you naturally keep up. At the beginning it was more difficult, but now I'm doing well."
