How is the selection doing physically?
According to Ruud van Nistelrooij, it will take some time before captain Luuk de Jong can rejoin the selection. De Jong hoped to be back with the group against SC Cambuur, but Van Nistelrooij indicated Friday morning that it could still take several weeks. "We take no risk," the coach said. Anwar El Ghazi is fortunately fit and deployable again: "Anwar has to start making his minutes. I think in the build-up it is better for him to do that from the bench," Van Nistelrooij said. Fredrik Oppegård is also training fully with the group again. Noni Madueke and Mauro Júnior, meanwhile, are also back on the pitch. The injured duo spent some time in England and Brazil respectively and are now focusing on a return to Eindhoven. It is not known how long that will take.
