PSV has fond memories of ending the season against PEC Zwolle. Last year, visiting Zwolle captured the title on the last day. Today, PSV and PEC face each other again.

Jürgen Locadia then opened the scoring and Luuk de Jong extended it further with two goals. Ouasim Bouy scored the only Zwolle goal. Because of Ajax's 1-1 draw in Doetinchem, PSV unexpectedly crowned themselves champions that matchday. All three goal scorers could be facing each other again today, were it not for the fact that Bouy received a red card last week and is suspended this round.
3-1 for PEC
PSV also has less good memories of the Zwolle side, in 2013, the team under Dick Advocaat lost the first game after the winter break 1-3 to PEC at home, it is PEC's last away win at PSV. In the championship year 2014-2015, PSV lost at PEC away from home, also 3-1. It was then one of a total of four losses PSV suffered that season in the Eredivisie.
Four wins in a row
Meanwhile, things have been going well against PEC for a while, earlier this season PSV won 4-0 in Zwolle, through goals by Nicolas Isimat-Mirin, Jorrit Hendrix, Luuk de Jong and Steven Bergwijn. It was PSV's fourth win in a row, both away and at home, against PEC Zwolle. Against no team, PEC currently has a longer run of premier league defeats.
De Jong top scorer against PEC
In fact, PSV scored at least three times in all four of the last meetings. Top scorer in the mutual duels between PSV and PEC is Luuk de Jong. He scored in all five premier league encounters he played against PEC and scored a total of six goals against today's opponent.
