Psv U21 played a strong game against frontrunner SC Cambuur, but due to unused chances and a painful goal it did not deliver any points. It was 0-1 at PSV Campus De Herdgang.
Strong play
Yorbe Vertessen made his return to the starting lineup after injury and he showed right away. After a few minutes of playing time he had the first big shooting chance but his effort went just wide of the goal. Kristófer Kristinsson also made a contribution with a hard shot that went wide of the goal. Joel Piroe tested Cambuur goalkeeper Sonny Stevens with a twenty-meter effort, but the first dangerous chances were all for Young PSV. Maxime Delanghe's goal was little attacked in the first half. The Frisians only came to a single attempt that had no effect on the score. On the side of Young PSV, Cheick Touré ventured another attempt. From a counter shot he hit Stevens' fists. The game was good, but the scoreboard did not reflect that. Both teams went into halftime tied at 0-0.

Psv U21 was clearly not satisfied with the tie. In the second half, they were again eager to score a goal. Touré had a shot on goal that the Frisian defense was able to duck and Piroe shot at Stevens' hands. Even defender Mees Kreekels was on the attack and just failed to deliver a dangerous cross to Mathijs Tielemans. Completely against the match pattern, it was SC Cambuur with the first goal. From close range the Frisians had a shooting chance that left Delanghe without a chance. With ten minutes left on the clock an attacking change came in the hope of turning the game around. Here Jeremy Antonisse made his debut in professional football. The player normally plays for PSV O18. However, he and the other substitutes were unable to turn the game around. The 0-1 became the final score against leader SC Cambuur.
