Romário will be guest of honor Saturday at the last top match of this calendar year, against AZ. The former top striker from Brazil travels from his homeland to Eindhoven this week. Soon, Romário will be immortalized on the PSV Walk of Fame.
Footprints
Romário's footprints will be taken Saturday night at Philips Stadium so that his tile can be added to the PSV Walk of Fame. This will happen shortly before the start of the match against AZ. Be on time, around 8:30 p.m., at the stadium.
Romário is the first PSV legend to be added after the unveiling of the place of honor. The first 11 club legends were given a place this summer. They were Willy van der Kuijlen, Ronaldo, Luc Nilis, Hans van Breukelen, Ruud van Nistelrooij, Phillip Cocu, Berry van Aerle, Mark van Bommel, Heurelho Gomes, Arjen Robben and Mateja Kezman.
First extension
The PSV Walk of Fame was opened last summer at the PSV FANdag and is a gift to the club and fans from energiedirect.nl. It consists of tiles with foot or hand prints of our former top players. Energiedirect.nl was PSV's shirt and back sponsor for many years and has continued as a partner in our club's sponsorship pyramid since this summer. The Walk of Fame is a 'living' project. Tiles of PSV legends are added regularly.
