With victories over Excelsior Rotterdam (2-0), AZ (5-1), Vitesse (6-0) and sc Heerenveen (8-0), PSV was supreme in April. The main squad scored 21 times and gave up only one goal.

Talent of the Month
In addition to his team of the month election, the 21-year-old Johan Bakayoko has also been named Johan Cruijff Talent of the Month. It is the fourth time the outfielder has received the prestigious title. He also received the award in February, October and November of 2023. Of all the (former) Eredivisie players, only Angeliño won the award (5x) more often. In the 2021-2022 season, Johan was named Player of the Year in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
In his first season as an undisputed base player, the Belgian winger noted extraordinary statistics. Johan is the third youngest player in the ten best leagues in Europe - based on the UEFA coefficient list - to be involved in at least 20 goals (11 goals and 9 assists). Only 20-year-old Jude Bellingham and Florian Wirtz are younger.
