Young PSV did not manage to take any points from the duel with Telstar. In Velsen-Zuid a blunder became fatal for Peter Uneken's team. More goals did not come and the team lost 1-0.

Misunderstanding
The home team took the initiative in the first few minutes, but defensive work kept the attack under control. Young PSV managed to become dangerous a few times in the opening stages, relying mainly on the long ball and the speed of the attackers. The first shot on goal came from Amar Catic, who got the ball at his feet after a corner kick but hit Telstar goalkeeper Anthony Swolfs. Later, another breakaway came for Catic and Richy Ledezma who stormed towards goal together. An intervention by the home team managed to prevent a huge chance. The first goal finally fell through Young PSV, but into the wrong goal. A misunderstanding between Shurandy Sambo and Youri Roulaux resulted in an own goal after the right back, chased by a Telstar player, returned a pass that ended up in an empty goal. The referee's halftime signal followed shortly after.

Goalless
In the first minute of the second half came a huge chance for Telstar. Young PSV was kept on their feet by a quick reflex from Roulaux. Luck was also on its side. Four Telstar players managed to get in front of the goal after a switch, but a huge chance for the 2-0 was missed. Young PSV had to endure more and more attacks from the home team. Coach Peter Uneken intervened with a defensive substitution and brought on Justin de Haas, which provided the necessary calm. Unfortunately, it did not result in another goal. Catic came close to an equalizer after a quick solo. Unfortunately, he was unable to find a teammate in time. 1-0 was the final score.
