Luuk de Jong has reached the milestone of 300 matches for PSV 1. Our captain is only the nineteenth PSV player to reach that milestone. Luuk is in his eighth season at PSV.
The headstrong striker made his 300th appearance in the UEFA Champions League game against Sporting CP (1-1). This puts him in a special row with the likes of Willy van der Kuijlen (663), Willy van den Kerkhof (541) and Jan Heintze (522). The three hundred duels are spread over two periods in Eindhoven. From 2014 to 2019 he played 204 duels and since his return he has added another 96 games. In those, Luuk arrives at impressive figures. Namely, he scored 173 goals and also gave 78 assists.
