In the third round of the Eredivisie, PSV takes on Heracles Almelo at the Erve Asito. After winning at ADO Den Haag and reaching the playoffs in the Europa League, PSV wants to continue the good line against the Almeloërs.

For Mauro Júnior it is a special match. The Brazilian has been playing on a rental basis for Heracles Almelo this season and can now play for the first time against PSV: "I'm really looking forward to the match, I can't wait to see my friends again and play against them." The talent can develop well at Heracles: "I am very happy to play here. I feel good and make minutes, that's what's important to me. This is a good club that plays good football. I like PSV, but right now I'm a player at Heracles."

Full playing schedule
During the preview, Mark van Bommel commented on the selection at the moment: "We are seeing how things go in the coming days. A number of guys have to get used to it. The average age was very young. If you are older, you have much better physical content." The coach expects some changes to the selection: "We could use some more experience. With any income from transfers, we will definitely do something."

History
PSV and Heracles will meet for the 43rd time in league competition. Of the last 42 matches, PSV has won 30, 6 ended in draws and 6 in wins for the Almeloans. The biggest victory against Heracles was the 5-0 win in the 1985/1986 season. In the previous away game with the Overijssel club, PSV almost equaled this score. Then it became 4-0 through goals by Steven Bergwijn, Daniel Schwaab, Denzel Dumfries and Gastón Pereiro. Watch the summary here:
