With his stunning goal in the 60th minute, he brought PSV back into the game. Mauro Júnior reacts for ESPN's camera to the victory, his goal and the fans who traveled with him.
"We always have a twelfth man behind us both at home and away and that's very important," laughed the Brazilian, who was cheered both during and after the match by the fans who traveled with him. "That really gave me goosebumps for a moment. And not only the supporters, but also my teammates and coaches are always behind me."
Jack-of-all-trades
Mauro pulled the trigger in the 60th minute after which PSV equalized. "It was a quick corner and when the ball left my foot I knew it was right," he said. The jack-of-all-trades has to laugh especially at the fact that he is often drafted into a different position. "I don't care where I play, as long as I play," he winks.
Turn over
His goal was ultimately the introduction to a victory that was not without controversy. "It wasn't an easy game, but it's important that we turn it around. The first half was difficult for us and so it's important to be there after halftime. We did that well."
