Young PSV won for the first time in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie on Friday night. It quickly fell behind 2-0, but came back very handsomely in the second half thanks in part to an outstanding Ledezma.
Bad start
Uneken's team faced two goals against early on Friday night: Reijnders put Jong AZ ahead after only four minutes. Not much later the 0-2 was also scored. AZ attacker Kunst fired the ball into the crossbar from distance. The visitors had chance after chance in the first fifteen minutes, but Unnerstall and the post kept Young PSV on their feet. After the opening phase, Young PSV got a better grip on the game, but hardly created any clear-cut chances. Just before half-time a header by Soulas hit the bar. The rebound did not go in either; Catic's shot was caught by goalkeeper De Boer.
Handsome comeback
The second half was much better for Uneken's team. With rookies Gloster and Ngonge in the team, it became 1-2 after an hour of play. Ledezma, who played very well, scored the tying goal. Seven minutes later the ball was in the net again. Again Ledezma was involved in the PSV attack. The American beautifully put Catic away with a cross. The number nine did not fail and tipped the ball over the goalkeeper. It didn't stop there. Five minutes before time, Ledezma lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper. A beautiful goal. Ledezma was the absolute standout on Friday night. In the very last minute Unnerstall stopped a penalty kick, keeping the three points in Eindhoven.
