The PSV Women will play the final home match of the season on Friday night. At 7:30 p.m., Nebojsa Vuckovic's team will take on Belgium's Club Brugge.

Nice series ends
After six league games without defeat, PSV/FCE lost 1-0 at PEC Zwolle on Tuesday. Although Vuckovic's team had quite a few opportunities to score the opening goal and equalize, Zwolle took the longest end of the series with one well-used chance. As a result, fourth place in the BeNe League is out of sight and PSV Women are in sixth place. With a win over number eleven Club Brugge, the ladies can pass Telstar in the rankings.

Hook up with top-five
Head coach Vuckovic was by no means happy with the loss in Zwolle and hopes for a good reaction from his players. "Due to lack of sharpness and running away from responsibilities, we lost to PEC unnecessarily on Tuesday. The meeting with Club Brugge has therefore become even more important to catch up with the top five. Club Brugge has more quality than PEC Zwolle so I predict a tough evening when the players do not deal more effectively with created chances," warns Vuckovic.

Reward loyal crowd
Vuckovic also wants to end the BeNe League period well in front of his own crowd. "We hope to treat the loyal supporters, who are still growing, to a nice match. In doing so, we want to end the season appropriately with three points."

Filled sickbay
In the final home game, Vuckovic cannot call on Michelle Hendriks, Jette van Vlerken, Marlou Peeters and Sharon Schoonderbeek. Marlou Kelleners will also be absent. Due to an injury, she was last in action in December 2013. This month she will undergo surgery again on her knee to repair injuries sustained earlier. Kika van Es made her comeback on Tuesday against PEC after being sidelined for a year. She can also start making minutes again against Club Brugge.
