Psv U21 will take on provincial rival NAC in Breda for the first time in existence on Friday night at 8 p.m. At the Rat Verlegh Stadion, coach Pascal Jansen has select players Luuk Koopmans, Menno Koch and Simon Poulsen at his disposal. In addition, Jurich Carolina, Dirk Abels, Laros Duarte and Sam Lammers also join from PSV O19.
Three more duels
Psv U21 lost big at FC Dordrecht last Friday. However, against FC Den Bosch last Monday, Jansen's team recovered handsomely. At the Jan Louwers Stadion it won 2-1 thanks to a goal by Adam Maher, a goal that lifted PSV to ninth place. With three games to go, seventh place seems the maximum attainable this year. Besides Young PSV, Jong Ajax, FC Volendam, MVV Maastricht and Almere City FC are still in the running for that place. Opponent NAC Breda, meanwhile, can start preparing for the playoffs for promotion. With three games to go, they are already sure of a place among the top teams of the Jupiler League. NAC is currently in third place.
