Young PSV also remained unbeaten in its fifth game in 2019. Against FC Eindhoven the third consecutive victory was recorded in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie: 1-2. This places Dennis Haar's team firmly in the top 5.

Tired
Just under 3,000 Eindhoven fans saw the city derby get off to an extremely difficult start. Due to the fierce pressure from the home team, Young PSV barely managed to create any chances on the pitch in the first half. Only Zakaria Aboukhlal and Justin Lonwijk briefly escaped the attention of the FC Eindhoven defenders before half-time, but twice a block prevented a real chance. The home team, in turn, was threatening once or twice from a standard situation, but goalkeeper Mike van de Meulenhof did not really have to make any significant saves.

Ignite
That was true for fellow goalkeeper Swinkels immediately after halftime. The former PSV goalkeeper cleverly tapped a shot by Joël Piroe out of the left corner. Not much later, Van de Meulenhof was nailed to the ground when Kabangu hit the bar with an overhead kick. The game suddenly got under way and in the same minute Daniels put FC Eindhoven up 1-0 with a dry shot. While the home team was still celebrating, Aboukhlal hit the post again from the first attack after that goal. In the 63rd minute, the striker was able to cheer when he shot past Psv U21 from the penalty spot: 1-1. Fifteen minutes before time, Justin Lonwijk gave the pledges the lead. The midfielder, who was out of action before the winter break due to injury, took advantage of a misplay by Swinkels and rounded off expertly: 1-2. FC Eindhoven pressed on, but could not embarrass Van de Meulenhof anymore.
