Young PSV won 2-1 against compatriot RKC Waalwijk on Friday night. At De Herdgang, Aboukhlal and Soulas scored for Haar's team. Just before time Roulaux stopped a penalty kick.
Adversaries
Psv U21 and RKC Waalwijk are hardly dissimilar in the rankings (number five against number six). Also on the pitch the teams were evenly matched. After four minutes, Haar's team had a good chance to take the lead: a free kick by Mauro was cleverly caught by goalkeeper Vaessen. Less than five minutes later, Young PSV got away well. First Seys had a great chance to score the opening goal, and shortly afterwards Spierings hit the bar from a corner. In the remaining part of the first half, the game went back and forth, without really big chances on either side.

In the second half, the ball was in the net within two minutes. Aboukhlal received the ball from Piroe and easily tapped it into an empty goal. A few minutes later Daneels had a great chance to double the score, but he hit Vaessen. Mauro was also close. The Brazilian drove hard at goal after a nice solo but again Vaessen was in the way. After exactly an hour of play the goal was scored. Soulas headed in the 2-0 from a free kick. Fifteen minutes before time the visitors got back in the game through substitute Maatsen. Just before time RKC had the opportunity to equalize. Seys had the opportunity to shoot from eleven meters, but Roulaux made a fine save to give Young PSV the three points.
