Young PSV defended the lead in the Jupiler League with verve. On the debut of defender Armando Obispo, striker Sam Lammers once again stole the show with two goals. Dante Rigo was shown red in the second half on behalf of Young PSV, which eventually won 3-2.
Good start, less follow-through
Against the number 19 of the Jupiler League after six rounds of play, Young PSV started quite well. Already in the 3rd minute, striker Sam Lammers had a good chance to give the pledges the lead. However, goalkeeper Tim Coremans saved expertly. Seven minutes later, Coremans had no chance on a long-distance shot by Pablo Rosario, who sent the ball with great sensitivity into the far corner: 1-0. PSV could not enjoy the lead for long. Michael Chacon made it 1-1 after 15 minutes, also with a shot from distance. Shortly before halftime, the same Chacon enabled Jafar Arias to score the 1-2. The Dordt striker crowned a flowing action of the midfielder with the heel.
Double goal for Lammers, comeback for Beto
Immediately after halftime, Sam Lammers put things right by tapping in his seventh goal of the season from close range. A few minutes later Coremans only narrowly had an answer to a surprising shot by Simon Poulsen, who came with the ball. Lammers then scored again. In the 58th minute the striker took advantage of blunder in the FC Dordrecht backline to take his season total to eight: 3-2. A minute later, however, the pledges had to deal with another disappointment. Dante Rigo received an immediate red card after a charge in midfield. There was better news about ten minutes before time. At that moment Luiz Beto da Silva made his comeback for PSV, after suffering a head injury during the preparation of the season. With him in the team, it remained 3-2.
