In a game rich in goals, Young PSV defeated FC Dordrecht. At De Herdgang it was 4-2 for Haar's team. Armando Obispo was honored for his debut in PSV 1.
Early lead, Gudmundsson misses penalty kick
On a sunny Friday evening, Young PSV started strongly in the last home game of the current Jupiler League season. After just eight minutes of play, Laursen had a great chance at the opening goal. The Dane did not score, but a minute later the ball was in the net. The ball came to the feet of Gakpo, who shot hard inside. About ten minutes later Young PSV got a penalty kick. Gudmundsson got behind the ball, but missed. The striker shot straight through the middle into the hands of goalkeeper Janssen. A quarter of an hour before halftime it did become 2-0. Obispo was completely free at the far post and tapped in a fine cross from Paal. That was also the last highlight of the first half.
Goal-rich
Also in the second half, Haar's team scored after exactly nine minutes. Laursen went off alone after a nice action and finished in a controlled way. After more than an hour of play the opponents did something back: Mahmudov shot 3-1 via Teze's leg. Two minutes later FC Dordrecht had a great chance to score the tying goal, but Van Osch kept Young PSV at bay with a beautiful save. In the second half the game went up and down. Just after the goal the ball was in the net again. Malen accelerated, walked alone to the goal and fired a cool shot. Two minutes later there was another goal, but again in Van Osch's goal. The visitors were awarded a penalty kick, which Arias took. Just before time, both teams had a big chance to score, but no more goals were scored. Thus, Young PSV closed its last match of the season victoriously.
