Young PSV won easily against Jong FC Utrecht on Friday night. Haar's team dominated much of the match, the home team had little to contribute. Ritzmaier scored in fine fashion in the first half. The other goals were scored by Van der Moot and Verreth (twice).
Superb goal by Ritzmaier
Young PSV started the match well at Sportpark De Westmaat. It took the lead within five minutes thanks to a goal by Van der Moot, who played for Friday night's opponent on a rental basis last year. The striker shot the ball into the far corner, leaving goalkeeper Nijhuis defenseless. Haar's team dominated almost the entire first half, the home team had little to contribute, except for a few harmless long-distance shots. After more than half an hour of play, Young PSV doubled the score in beautiful fashion. Ritzmaier curled a free kick perfectly into the crossbar. Nijhuis got his hand to it, but could not prevent a goal.
Doubles Verreth, Debut Wallenburg
In the second half, the game was a little more up and down. Both teams looked for opportunities, but the spectators saw few real big chances. Both the home and away teams rarely got through, until the last quarter of an hour. In the 73rd minute, PSV goalkeeper Koopmans was forced into action for the first time. The Domstadelingen shot at the goal several times within a minute, but Koopmans saved handsomely. Fifteen minutes later the ball went in at the other end and Verreth made it 3-0. The Belgian slid in a cross from the substitute Konings. Ten minutes before time Jong FC Utrecht did something back through Joosten. It did not get exciting, because a few minutes after the goal Young PSV scored again through Verreth, who scored his second of the evening.
PSV O19 player Baggio Wallenburg made his debut in professional football Friday night. Congratulations!
