PSV recorded their biggest win of the season on Friday night. At De Herdgang the pledges won 6-0 against Telstar, who played for more than an hour with ten men. Thanks to the victory, Young PSV now has 21 points after 14 matches.
Whirlwind
A good and attractive footballing Young PSV whirled past Telstar in the first half. Dennis Haar's team scored four goals. In the 13th minute Albert Gudmundsson opened the scoring, after Sam Lammers slalomed through the Telstar defense and delivered the ball at his feet: 1-0. Barely three minutes later it was another goal. This time Matthias Verreth picked up a poorly played in pass and took a hard and effective shot: 2-0. Even before the half hour mark, the 3-0 was on the board. Donyell Malen scored his first goal in the Jupiler League from a self-assisted penalty kick.
Double-stroke Malen
Shortly before halftime, it was again on target. This time after a well-run Young PSV attack, eventually completed by Malen again. He passed goalkeeper De Boer in the short corner: 4-0. Via Dante Rigo the 5-0 followed fairly quickly in the second half. The Belgian had a free kick in the 50th minute, which he laid inside in fine fashion. Young PSV took their foot off the gas pedal. Substitute Nikolai Laursen did score one more goal. The Dane made it 6-0.
