After the Maastricht national anthem had sounded, Young PSV could hunt for their third win of the month of October. The crowd in De Geusselt was little entertained in the opening phase of the game. The game went up and down without really big chances. In the 23rd minute, one of the goalkeepers was forced into action for the first time. Van Osch saved a shot by striker Schroijen and prevented a goal.
