Few chances
Psv U21 struggled to create chances. Verreth had a nice shooting chance early on and Gakpo was also dangerous. However, his effort met the foot of an Almere City player. On the other hand, Almere was also allowed to strike a few times. In the 36th minute the freshly crowned champions took the lead through a hard header by captain Damon Mirani. That was also the score at halftime.

In the last half hour Almere City took control of the field and got a 2-1 lead through Efmorfidis. Young PSV did not manage to score anymore, making Almere the period champions.
