Psv U21 suffered a 5-2 defeat against leader N.E.C. on Monday night. After half-time the home team took a large distance in Nijmegen.
Jorrit Hendrix's return
Good news was the return to action of Jorrit Hendrix, who completed ninety minutes in Nijmegen and is on his way back since his injury in Maspalomas. Selection players Pasveer, Brenet, Tamata, Ritzmaier and Vloet also started at kick-off. It was Young PSV that took the lead through defender Brenet, but not long after, Limbombe equalized. Vloet put coach Darije Kalezic's team back in the lead just before halftime, but right after that N.E.C. equalized through Ars: 2-2.
After halftime: N.E.C. takes distance
In the second half N.E.C. took distance from Young PSV, which was too small for the Jupiler League leaders. Through Ars again, Daemen and then Ars again, the score was increased to 5-2. Young PSV had little to offer against the team that was beaten 1-0 at the beginning of the competition by a goal from Boljevic. After last Friday's defeat against FC Emmen, the team suffered another loss. Next Sunday awaits the away game against Sparta Rotterdam.
