Psv U21 started the new season with a victory. At De Herdgang it was 2-1. Zakaria Aboukhlal made his debut in professional football Friday night and managed to score immediately.
Beautiful goal Aboukhlal
Coach Dennis Haar saw his team fall behind early against the city rival. After eight minutes, Van der Heyden headed the visitors into the lead. A few minutes later debutant Aboukhlal had an immediate chance to level the score. The outside player was completely free and took a shot, but the ball hit goalkeeper Swinkels. It looked like the pledge team was going to rest with a 1-0 deficit, until the 45th minute. Aboukhlal struck again and this time the ball went in. Via an FC Eindhoven leg the ball ended up behind Swinkels in the crossbar. A beautiful goal.
Fine assists Abels
Young PSV's second goal was also a winner. Dirk Abels sent the up-and-coming Jordan Teze away with a brilliant pass. The right back hit the ball hard and put his team ahead. That was one of the few highlights in the second half. The game went back and forth without any major chances. In the final minutes of the game Elton Kabangu had a chance to equalize, but Yanick van Osch made a fine save. Thus Young PSV wins 2-1 against FC Eindhoven. A good start of the new season in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie for Haar's team.
