With again a lot of players from the Under 18, Young PSV plays tonight the catch-up game against TOP Oss. That match could not take place a week and a half ago due to infections in the selection. Tonight at PSV Campus De Herdgang, Young PSV gets the chance for revenge for the first match.
Selection
In addition to the boys who were already in attendance last Friday, Isaac Babadi, Jamal Gonzaga and goalkeeper Kjell Peersman also join the selection tonight. This brings the total to 21 players, nine of whom come from PSV under 18. For some of them the chance to make their debut, just like Ilyas Bougafer did last week.
Home match
On Dec. 11, 2020, Young PSV failed to win in Oss. Fodé Fofana scored the opening goal, but after that Jong gave up two goals in a short period of time. Shortly after halftime, TOP Oss extended its lead after a penalty kick was taken. Kristófer Kristinsson scored the tying goal in the 80th minute, but to no avail. Young PSV lost 3-2. So tonight the chance for revenge. With a win they will move up the rankings over TOP Oss, which still has a game to play.
Debut goal
Last Friday, Young PSV shared the points with Telstar after Emmanuel Matuta scored the 2-2 in the 90th minute. It was Matuta's first goal in professional football, by the way. With that, Young PSV is in third place in the fourth period. Only a win with three goals difference could move them up one place. But it is still first of all promising teams, and that with one match less.
Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
