Psv U21 had to swallow a big defeat against FC Den Bosch on Friday night. In the Brabant capital the team lost 5-0.
Preponderance Den Bosch
Without the absent captain Armando Obispo, Young PSV struggled to get a grip on the FC Den Bosch game before halftime. Although the home team did not create any big chances, it developed a field superiority and kept Dennis Haar's team away from their own goal quite easily. After half an hour FC Den Bosch also managed to create some more pressure towards Yanick van Osch's goal. Apart from a couple of threatening crosses, they did not create any major chances. Thus the game seemed to be heading for a 0-0 halftime score, were it not for the fact that referee Freek van Herk put the ball on the spot seconds before the halftime signal after hands by Jurich Carolina. Vossebelt used the awarded penalty kick faultlessly: 1-0.
Vossebelt excels
After halftime, the scoring was considerably quicker. After less than a minute, the home side's striker Kaars scored the 2-0 by taking full advantage of Bouyaghlafen's fine effort. Then it was Vossebelt's turn again, who took his second penalty kick after a foul and again did not fail: 3-0. Five minutes later, after Dirk Abels had been pushed in the back, PSV tried to come back from the spot, but Olivier Rommens missed. Via Vossebelt again and substitute Siani, Young PSV, where Karim Bannani made his debut in professional football, scored two more goals: 5-0.
