An incredibly exciting encounter at PSV Campus De Herdgang ended in a draw. Both teams had many good chances, but it ended 1-1. The goal for Young PSV was scored by Mathias Kjølø.

Handsome lead
From the first minute, the pace was high. NAC Breda had to win to stay in the top three but Psv U21 had no interest in letting that go easily. Both teams regularly sought out each other's sixteen-meter area. There was a threat from Young PSV in the opening stages, including Mees Kreekels and Cheick Touré. Jeremy Antonisse also came close, the outfielder able to shoot from an awkward angle. He tried to surprise the Breda goalkeeper but his shot went just over. The goal that hung in the air came in the name of Mathias Kjølø. A good shot by Antonisse hit the post and from the rebound the Norwegian was able to tap in. NAC Breda gained more momentum after an attacking change. An effort from close range required a good reflex from Maxime Delanghe. The Belgian reacted sharply and kept his goal clean. Touré came close to doubling the lead, but his effort was flagged for offside. PSV went into the locker room with a narrow lead.

Equalizer
At the start of the second half, Young PSV immediately came loose. Fredrik Oppegård was dangerous in no time with a cross and Thomas also had a shooting chance. However, the goal fell on the wrong side. In front of the Young PSV goal, Sidney van Hooijdonk slipped past Delanghe and poked the equalizer in. The Eindhoven players kept up the attacking tempo and were clearly not satisfied with the tie. Kjølø created another chance. The Norwegian cleverly poked Touré away for a free cross. But the striker just failed to reach substitute Kristófer Kristinsson. The tension was high until the closing stages. NAC Breda had another great chance, again from close range. But after an intervention by Delanghe, Shurandy Sambo managed to clear the ball just before the goal line. In the final minutes it could have gone either way, but the draw remained on the scoreboard.
