Young

Young PSV took three points in the first away game of 2021 in Dordrecht. Peter Uneken's team showed a lot of control and won 2-3 through an own goal by the home team, a clever solo by Kjølø and a great free kick by Thomas.

Total control
In the opening stages, the opponent's sixteen-meter area was quickly sought out. Jeremy Antonisse put the Dordt goalkeeper to work early in the match, and Kristófer Kristinsson also made an effort, but his effort went over. Shurandy Sambo and Ismael Saibari also made contributions, including a shot on the crossbar. The pressure was high in favor of the Eindhoveners in the first 30 minutes. Meanwhile, Kyan van Dorp, Vincent Müller's replacement, was not busy. After half an hour, the home side's only attempt was a shot well over the goal. Basic debutant Johan Bakayoko was looking hard for his first goal for Young PSV. A wild shot towards the cross was his first real danger. Just before halftime the expected goal fell. Antonisse was played free and crossed well. An FC Dordrecht player worked the ball over the line, own goal and the lead for Young PSV.

Two minutes, two goals

After halftime, it was the home team that came out of the locker room the best. Three minutes into the second half the first shot on goal came for FC Dordrecht and it was an instant hit, the tie was back on the board. A free kick seemed to restore the lead, but Antonisse's shot was caught by the Dordrecht goalkeeper. The outfielder then had another great chance after preparatory work by Mathias Kjølø, but from a difficult angle the ball went just wide of the goal. In about two minutes the lead came well back. First it was Kjølø who managed to free himself in the penalty area and coolly rounded off. A good minute later substitute Nigel Thomas had the opportunity to take a free kick from around twenty meters. The attacker slammed the ball behind the Dordt goalie, 1-3 in no time. In the final goal, the home team made themselves heard again. A placed header into the far corner was unstoppable for Van Dorp, 2-3. An exciting final phase yielded no more goals and the three points went to Eindhoven.
