Psv U21 secured its first three points of the season. The mini-Light City derby was a match with two completely different faces. The promise team was lord and master in the first part, but got into trouble in the second half after a red card.
Lord and master
The first big chance of the match was for FC Eindhoven, which tried to test Vincent Müller via a volley. Yet it was Young PSV that took the lead. Via a placed shot, Fodé Fofana passed former PSV player Nigel Betrams. A minute later, Jeremy Antonisse came close to scoring his second goal. However, his effort was turned away. Just before halftime, Mohamed Amin Doudah, who scored his first goal in professional football, gave Young PSV a 2-0 lead.
Holding back
Promise started where it left off: combination football. In the 53rd minute, a goal resulted immediately when Fofana signed for his second of the evening. Then things took a turn for the worse. Doudah picked up a red card just after FC Eindhoven came back with the 3-1. Then things went storming around Vincent Müller's goal. It eventually led to a second goal in the 84th minute, but that was all. Young PSV takes its first three points of the season and climbs to 11th place.
