Young PSV will play an away match at De Graafschap on Friday night. The game between the numbers seven and fourteen of the Jupiler League starts at 8 p.m. at stadium De Vijverberg.
Waiting for victory
The match against De Graafschap is the second of Young PSV's busy series, in which head coach Darije Kalezic's team plays four duels in 12 days. The first of those was Monday at home against Helmond Sport. At the Jan Louwers Stadium, Young PSV got no further than 0-0. It was the second draw in a row for Psv U21, which has now failed to win three consecutive games.
De Graafschap on a roll
Last Sunday, De Graafschap played at Roda JC. The game ended 1-1. Roda took the lead in the first fifteen minutes through Tom van Hyfte, but in the second half Karim Tarfi put things right with the equalizer. Of the nine games the Superboeren played after the winter break, only two were lost. The team of head coach Jan Vreman won five times, the other two games ended in a draw.
Home win over De Graafschap
The first match of December, Young PSV played against De Graafschap. The encounter turned into a 3-1 win through goals by Jorrit Hendrix, Rai Vloet and Moussa Sanoh. Kristopher Vida scored the 2-1 on behalf of the away team at the Jan Louwers Stadium. Should Young PSV win in Doetinchem, a defeat of Jong FC Twente would allow them to pass the Tukkers. De Graafschap is in seventh place and could pass FC Oss and FC Emmen in the Jupiler League rankings if they win.
