Psv U21 failed to continue their strong series against De Graafschap. At home, Peter Uneken's team lost 0-2.

Rescues Müller not enough
A minute's silence took place before the match, in memory of Willy van der Kuijlen. Both teams also wore the mourning band. It was De Graafschap who started the match brightest with a number of dangerous moments in the opening stages. Vincent Müller, however, was sharp enough to neutralize the shots. After fifteen minutes of play, however, the team from Doetinchem managed to make the difference. Müller was beaten in the far corner, 0-1. From Young PSV there was danger from Shurandy Sambo. The right back was able to make two attempts from the far corner but both times the effort went just wide of the goal. The biggest chance was for Cheick Touré, who got free in front of the goal after a good combination. However, the De Graafschap goalkeeper was able to save just in time. On an attack by De Graafschap Müller again had a good reflex to stop the danger. The visitors managed to double their lead with a crafty shot from distance just before half time. The German goalkeeper had no answer.

More chances, but
Young PSV started the second half with a lot of drive. Several times the team managed to become dangerous around the opponent's sixteen-meter area, but the perfect cross was missing. Again it was Sambo with the danger, after a clever slalom he got himself in shooting position but could not find the net. After a good combination with Jeremy Antonisse, it was Mathijs Tielemans with a great chance. The midfielder tried to tip the ball over goalkeeper De Boer but the keeper could only just reach. In attack De Graafschap let go of the reins, creating more and more opportunities for PSV. But the defensive block from Doetinchem proved too difficult to break through. There were no more goals in the second half. Because of the Corona cases at Young PSV, four players from PSV O18 were in the selection. Mohammed Nassoh was allowed to make his debut in professional football.
