Young PSV lost in Almere to Almere City by a wide margin: 7-0. Pascal Jansen's team received a direct red card from referee Kooij in both the first and second half. Kip took the penalty, giving the Almere team a 4-0 lead. Jansen again intervened immediately and made a defensive change: Gudmundsson made way for Van Vlerken. With nine men, Young PSV could only hold back and limit the damage. This worked pretty well, until the final stages: substitute Van de Water scored twice within three minutes and Ahannach scored another goal in extra time, resulting in a 7-0 final score.
Because of the loss in Almere, Young PSV finished eleventh in the Jupiler League.
